Annual Meeting 2017

April 15, the chapter met for the Annual meeting at Central Christian Church of Denver. Following a social hour and dinner catered by Scratch Catering, Dean David Vogels conducted the Annual Meeting of the Chapter. Brian du Fresne brought members up to date on preparations for the Chapter hosting a Regional AGO Convention July 7-10 of 2019. As a result of the 2014 consolidation of AGO regions, Colorado became part of the Southwest Region, and the Chapter looks forward to introducing our new regional “neighbors” to Music in the Mile High City. Our evening together concluded with a service of installation for new and returning board members. The liturgy was prepared by the chapter Program and Committee and host Jim Hill, organist at Central Christian (Reuter Opus 1036 III/38). A Chapter Choir under the direction of Michael Johnson, student and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Lamont School of Music, University of Denver presented two anthems for the service, and Sub-Dean Denise Lanning led the induction liturgy for board members including returning member Danial Romero and new members Cathy Bruno and Susan Carl.
